The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is the leading National Professional non-profit making Society for the Technical Education System in our country registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 with the motto of Career Development of Teachers and Personality Development of Students and overall development of our Technical Education System. Being the only national organisation of educators in the field of Engineering and Technology, ISTE effectively contributes in various missions of the Union Government. The strength of ISTE is the strong base it has in technical education institutions in the country.

The major objective of the ISTE is to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industries and other organizations. Being the only national organization of educators in the field of Engineering and Technology, ISTE effectively contributes in various missions of the Union Government. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, CTE/DST/MIT/State Governments are well associated with the ISTE for programs relating to technical education.

INAUGURATION OF ISTE CHAPTER

Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), students chapter was inaugurated in Swarnandhra Institute of Engineering &Technology, Seetharampuram, Narasapuram.

The function was inaugurated by Padmasri Dr. M.Y.S. Prasad, Director, Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota High Altitude Range (SDSC-SHAR). Was the chief guest. in the presence of Dr.T.Madhu, Principal, Dr.S.Ramesh Babu, Secretary & Correspondent Mr.S.Ravi Chand, ISTE Coordinator, Heads of the Departments, faculty members and students on 18-02-2014. More than 280 students and faculty members who have got their membership in the ISTE.

Revision of Membership Fee after implementation of GST

After implementation of Goods & Service Tax Act (GST) by the Govt. of India, the GST Act is applicable on ISTE and GST is to be charged on all membership fee and other receipts also. The revision of membership fee and other receipts/ charges will be increased by the amount of GST chargeable at applicable rates. Hence all the membership fee has to be paid alongwith GST. The fees structure stands revised w.e.f. 01-01-2018.
